Love playing with Fire and Glass Enamel

How I Started Enamelling
Working as a freelance IT trainer for many years I wanted to try something new and different. Although I loved my job, I also loved arts and crafts. I attended a summer school for beginners silver jewellery at a local Adult Ed college. The tutor also taught enamelling and so gave it a go.

It took quite a while for me to get to grips with firing and I confess, was on the brink of giving up. Then one firing right at the end of the day went perfectly. So it all started from that one firing. I gained my City and Guilds L2 in 2008 and in 2012 was awarded Associate Craftsman of The Guild of Enamellers.

Enamelling is absorbing and it's easy to lose track of time when you are working on a piece. There are many different techqunies both traditional and contemporary, sometimes you end up with unspected results but very pleasing none the less. I have a teeny studio at home and love the learning process. I display my work local fairs in South-East England.

Buying from me

The countryside where I live and the coastal area of Kent are my inspiration for my enamelling. Enamelling allows me freedom to experiment with colour and texture. Every piece is an adventure. I use a variety of techniques and work mainly with copper and other mixed media. Some of the copper I use is "found" copper. Although a torch can be used for enamelling I prefer to use a kiln which is heated usually between 750-850°C.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.

There may be a slight difference in colour as graphics may appear different. This item is unsuitable for children. If an item is dropped onto a hard surface/floor, there is a possibility the enamel may crack as this is glass enamel and no refund will be given for this. If the item is faulty please return the item in its originally packaging within 28 days for repair. You will need to pay the return P&P. If the item is faulty and cannot be repaired then a full refund will be made.

All items are sent recorded signed for in the UK and tracked and signed for outside the UK. The postage is based on the weight, so if the item is vastly different to the price quoted then I will refund the difference to your account.
