My name is Sophie and I started Beakys back in 2013 after the birth of my first son.
Beakys was born out of a passion for textiles, a need for a creative outlet and a want to stay at home with my children while they are small.

I make quilts, leggings, cushions, teething jewellery, full nursery design, skirts/dresses and more

I was often so frustrated buying children's clothes. I firmly believe children should be allowed to be children without their clothes restricting or imposing on them. One of my main design ethics is gender neutrality. I am a textiles fanatic, so you will find me indulging in pink dinosaurs and green unicorns, however you will never find me aiming specific items at specific genders. Allowing children the confidence in their own decisions is important to me.

Beakys has a strong focus on often organic, eco-friendly fabric which uses low impact dyes. You will feel the difference when you hold my clothing.

So if you like clean, conscientious, contemporary yet fun design without the camouflage/demeaning glitzy slogans, then Beakys is for you.

I undertake bespoke work. Everything I create is handmade, so I can work with your requirements. Please do get in touch.
