Rare Seaham Deep Purple 'Bullseye' Sea Glass & Sterling Silver Necklace (Free UK

This necklace features an incredibly rare piece of genuine Seaham sea glass that I was lucky enough to beach comb myself. If you look closely, it has a beautiful, deep amethyst dark purple "bullseye" or "eye" perfectly encapsulated inside the frosted outer glass. Pieces like this are a true collector's dream. Over a century ago, Victorian glass artisans layered different molten glass colours together. After a hundred years of being tumbled by the North Sea, it has left behind this gorgeous, accidental teardrop shape. Deep purple tones are among the hardest sea glass colours to find, making this a completely unique piece of British coastal heritage. I've set the glass by hand in a solid sterling silver open bezel to let the light show through and show the uniqueness of the beautiful purple 'eye'. I finished it with a lovely, hand-linked double bail at the top so it hangs beautifully and lets that striking dark centre take centre stage.
