Here's a cute gift for a cat owner who enjoys a cuppa. This textile and decoupage paper collage features a ginger tabby cat peeking out of a pretty teacup. There's a little teabag tag hanging over the rim showing what the furlavour is! I've chosen a colour palette of oranges, browns and teal and created the background using layers of cotton fabric, including batiks. I've also included small pieces of decoupage paper to add interest and texture. The teacup is cut from a section of Designer Guild fabric and the little tabby was printed onto cotton and then trimmed out and layered onto the collage. I've made the teabag tag and matching gift tag from colour copies. The artwork is in an off-white 8 inch square mount. The aperture is 5.5 inches. The picture is signed and dated on reverse.
