Full description
'Woodland Sheep' is a signed, original painting that depicts a ewe and her lamb in the flora and fauna of a woodland wildlife setting in spring, and includes a bullfinch, squirrel, rabbits, crows, bluebells, cow parsley, dandelions, primroses, ivy, and a woodland stream.
'Woodland Sheep' is painted in acrylic paint on high quality, reclaimed Welsh slate roof tile which is most likely to be over 100 years old. The slate is carefully chosen and the painting designed with the natural contours of the slate in mind. Before painting, the slate is sanded to remove any sharp edges while retaining the natural look, and hanging holes are drilled. After the painting is finished, it is signed by the artist and varnished front and back with several coats of matt spray varnish with UV protection and a rope is added for hanging on the wall.
Size: L30cm x W24cm. Weight: Approx. 1.3kg.
For those wishing to hang a piece outside, wire can be added to the rope at their request.
