Full description
Stained glass Nautical Themed Bookends handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique. Designed to hold your books but also to be a functional piece of glorious stained glass art.
One panel shows a red hulled sailboat with a white sale and blue flag in a sea scene. The other panel compliments then sea theme with a gorgeous sunset.
The vibrantly coloured glass panels fit into slots in the solid oak stands. I supply them with tiny bits of blue tac in the slot which holds the glass very securely but invisibly.
The glass panels are 11cm x 15cm and the bases 15 x 18 x 9 cm.
Note I don't make the stands, They are supplied by the Creative Glass Guild and are beautiful.
The bookends are gloriously bright and cheerful and will be a focal point for any room whether postiioned on a desk, table or window sill to catch the sunlight.
My pieces are all unique. I use different shades and textures of glass to ensure that everything I make, even when to the same pattern, is different.
I post this out with the glass panels off the stand for ease and safety of packing but it is a very simple operation to slot the glass into the two oak stands where they will sit quite securely. I supply them with tiny bits of blue tac in the slot which holds the glass very securely but invisibly..
