Stargazer lilies in vivid pink take centre stage in this hand painted watercolour, showing their natural elegance and gentle texture.
In the photographs I have tried to show you what book mounting is. It allows the art to flex with atmosphere variations, so it moves but is less likely to buckle in extremes of temperatures.
Each petal, bud and leaf is painted with blended washes and fine detail, moving through shades of rose, magenta, blush and fresh green. The warm, lightly layered background adds a calm, uplifting feel that brings the flowers forward with a sense of summer brightness.
