Working with clay gives me the chance to slow down and take inspiration from the natural world around me. I don't aim for perfect symmetry. Instead, I let each piece develop its own character through hand-building and carving. This bowl is completely handmade from stoneware clay. The flowing texture is carved by hand before a warm amber glaze is applied, creating depth and movement across the surface. No two pieces are ever the same, which is exactly how I like it. I hope whoever owns this bowl enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it.
