Spectacled Bear; framed image, mounted, printed on card and photographic paper

One of our 'Curious Creatures of Bracklesham Bay' series, which was inspired by the wave-and-tide-shaped groynes on Bracklesham and East Wittering beaches. For those who don't know, groynes are wooden structures erected along the length of a beach to prevent beach erosion and longshore drift. Over the years, the waves and tides transform the initially geometric-shaped structures into more natural-looking, organic forms and in them we saw a myriad of creatures, real and imaginary. Add in the stones and pebbles that become lodged in the wood, and the bolts from the original construction, and there were eyes, teeth and other details. We added our own illustrations, in this case glasses, to complete our vision of this Curious Creature. The image of the groyne is printed onto photographic paper and applied onto the design. The frame size is 230mm x 230mm x 20mm, and can be wall-hung or can stand alone. Choose between a black, white or wood frame. The package will be sent, boxed, via Royal Mail 2-3 day, tracked service. The item code is 35-Spectacled Bear/Pr/Ph
