Spectacled Bear; framed image, mounted and printed on card and handmade paper

One of our 'Curious Creatures of Bracklesham Bay' series of images, which was inspired by the waves-and-weather-shaped groynes on Bracklesham and East Wittering beaches. For those who don't know, groynes are wooden structures erected along the length of a beach to prevent beach erosion and longshore drift. Over the years, the wind and waves transform the initially geometric-shaped structures into more natural-looking, organic forms and in them we saw a myriad of creatures, real and imaginary. Add in the stones and pebbles that become lodged in the wood, and the bolts from the original contruction, and there were eyes, teeth and other details. We added our own illustrations to complete our vision of the Curious Creature. Our photo of the groyne is printed onto handmade paper and added to the design. The frame size is 230mm x 230mm x 20mm, and can be wall-hung or can stand alone. Choose between a black, white or wood frame. The item will be sent, boxed, via Royal Mail 2-3 day, tracked service. The item code is 27-Spectacled Bear/Pr/Si
