Full description
Extra Large-sized exercise ball to use as a 3D resist form for large felting on a ball projects. You can use this ball to create large, shaped wet felted items such as a cat cave, large cushion/pouffe or large basket. This is a high quality inflatable ball, which is firm enough to use from approximately 43"/109cm - 47"/119.5cm in circumference (it will inflate bigger than this but it would be at your own risk). It is made of a hardwearing rubber material. Please purchase this ball if you are following the cat cave or pouffe projects in my book '3D Wet Felting' (see separate listing).
The ball comes with a plug and requires some kind of pump to inflate it (ideally electric because of its size but alternatively a hand, bicycle, foot pump etc). The ball currently comes with a manufacturer's free gift of a plastic foot pump, which should help to get you started using the ball but is probably not a long-term option (an electric pump would be much better). The ball does not come with marked guidelines or specific instructions for use but, if you are interested in how I've developed my own guidelines, instructions and projects using it, my book '3D Wet Felting' (published in May 2024) includes projects for a cat cave and pouffe.
Please note that the plastic bowl shown to prop the ball up is not included - any household bowl will be fine to use. Photos show a similar-sized Extra Large yellow ball in use and example finished items made with it.
