The idea for these birdhouse kits began a few years ago, during spring my daughter noticed the birds in my garden struggling to find safe places to nest. So built a simple birdhouse one weekend using leftover wood from another project, and to our surprise, it quickly became home to a pair of curious blue tits.
Friends and family who visited kept commenting on it first on how charming it looked, then on how busy the little birds were going in and out. Before long, a few people asked if I could make one for them too.
I loved the process of building something with my hands, but what I enjoyed most was watching people light up as they assembled their own. So I started putting together these kits: pre-cut pieces, pre-drilled holes, and all the hardware needed so anyone kids, adults, beginner DIYers could share that same simple joy.
What started as a friendly favour slowly grew into a small passion project. Each kit is still made with the same care as the very first one.

This birdhouse kit is a great gift idea for kids and adults that love crafts, building and using tools! Each birdhouse kit is constructed from sanded and treated pine wood. The kit includes pre-cut wood with all the screw holes already predrilled and countersunk for easy assembly. All of the hardware is also included: screws, glue and metal squirrel/preadator protector.
The kit is very easy to build with full easy to follow assembly instructions with photgraphs showing each step.
The entrance hole dimention is 32mm which is suitable for most common British garden birds.
This kit is solid and secure once completed and the birdhouse opens at the bottom for easy cleaning.
The birdhouse kits comes pre sanded and is bare wood. Once assembled can be painted, varnished or left natural if you prefer. (If painting, please do not paint the inside, not good for the birds!).
Included in Kit:
All hardware and glue, including metal protection plate and hook to hang a birdfeeder to the bottom of the birdhouse.

This should be assembled with Adult supervision.
