Full description
An unusual little book: in this style, the pages of the book are sewn on to a 'concertina stub' that enables the pages to open up wide (very wide indeed, as you can see from the photo). For this book, I hand-printed leaves on to the concertina making a colourful spine. The book wants to spring open so it is held in position, between the two end boards by a leather cord wrapped around it. The endboards are covered in a light brown book cloth, which has a nice linen feel to it. The pages are plain cream paper so perfect for sketching or doodling. It's a compact little thing, measuring just 8x10x3.5cm. It's a bit different! It would definitely make a quirky wee gift for that special someone.
