Meet Scrappy, the scruffy mutt. Scrappy is a friendly, happy-go-lucky dog and enjoys rolling around in leaves, running through muddy puddles and barking at next doors cat.
I made Scrappy by needle felting with natural wool fibres. The nose and eyes are made from Silk Clay and legs and tail have wire armature inside. The rest is 100% wool.
Dimensions: 12cm x 7.5cm x 5cm approx.
Needle felting is the process of using specially designed barbed needles to manipulate wool fibres into 3d objects, such as soft sculpture figurines, or into a solid fabric. It is quite a long process and patience is needed but it is so absorbing, very rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable!
Please note that this is not a toy for children.
I always use compostable gift wrap and packaging.
