Thank you for popping into my shop! I’m a retired Graphic Designer, but thankfully I haven’t retired from being creative. I still love the process of making things, experimenting with colour, pattern and texture, and giving new life to all sorts of materials.
You’ll find a colourful and eclectic mix of handmade pieces in my shop, with birds and flowers featuring strongly throughout. I particularly enjoy combining unexpected materials, patterns and colours to create unique mixed-media pieces — so there’s always something a little different to discover.
I’m also a big believer in happy postage! If you find more than one item you’d like, I ALWAYS combine postage and refund any excess. I know it can be a little alarming to see the postage total increase as you add items to your basket, but please don’t worry. I’ll package your purchases together and refund the excess postage on the same day your order is dispatched.

I'm not surprised the cheeky robin is Britain's favourite bird, and I've chosen to feature one in this textile artwork.
'Robin in Springtime' is a one-of-a-kind, hand-stitched picture that would make a lovely gift for anyone who enjoys watching the birds in their garden or wants to bringing a little touch of nature indoors.
I've created the background using a mix of beautiful batik fabrics alongside pretty floral prints with a gentle vintage feel. Together, they create a colourful, layered backdrop for the robin in his springtime surroundings.
The robin has been carefully built up from layers of fabric, each piece hand stitched to capture the rich colours and distinctive markings of his plumage. For his soft, downy breast feathers I've used delicate lace which has been coloured with inks to achieve the subtle shades and texture.
Embroidered details add even more character, with a variety of threads used to create texture and delicate variations of colour throughout his feathers, as well as his tiny beak and legs.
The blossom is finished with a scattering of seed-bead centres, adding a touch of sparkle and texture. I've also hand stitched a matching flower and slightly offset it from the background, helping to tie the blossom into the overall design.
Every element has been chosen and stitched by hand, making this a truly unique piece with lots of little details to discover.

The artwork comes in a good quality double mount. Outer measurements 10 x 8 inches. Visible area 7 x 5 inches. It is titled and signed on the reverse.
