I had been asked if make a witch flying on a broomstick. I said no as i didn't then but I do now.
I was so pleased when I finished the first and I hung it in the window to check it - I found that I was smiling - that is exactly what I like people to do when they see my suncatchers
I hope it makes you smile too.

A stained glass suncatcher made entirely by hand using the Tiffany Copper Foil technique.
A witch, deep purple.
A witch, dressed in a colourful gown with a matching pointy hat which is decorated with a silver star. My witches always have hair made from curls of wire which flow out behind..
My witches are not always polite, sorry. I try to suggest nice names for them but all they do is stick out their tongues at me rudely as they fly past.
The witch is riding the skies on her broomstick which is made from twisted wire. Her cat rides behind.
They were all rather cross after being attacked by a hot soldering iron. Hopefully the chill night air will cool their tempers.
The suncatcher hangs from a silvery chain securely attached by solder to the top.
It is 11cm in diameter and the witch looks pretty magical when she flies across the window in search of ingredients for her spells.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
