The painting depicts a beautiful kingfisher with its beady eyes keenly focused on an imaginary fish swimming beneath the water's surface. The bird's feathers are a dazzling mix of blue, orange and white, creating a striking contrast against the loosely painted greens and yellows in the background. I've captured the kingfisher's narrow bill poised and ready to strike, creating a sense of anticipation and excitement.

The water itself is depicted with loose washes of cool grey and blue tones, giving the impression of movement and life. Overall, I think this kingfisher captures the hunting drive of this beautiful bird. This print would make a super addition to any home.
