This unique and one-off stunning piece of art is perfect for a lover all things coastal and is made from reclaimed materials.

The design shows a row of brightly coloured cottages set on a piece of driftwood with sea glass underneath depicting the ocean. The whole piece has been created by hand carving each individual piece, painting them and setting them onto a backing piece of reclaimed wood that has itself been sanded, hand painted and varnished. Extra embellishments in the form of cork, twigs and moss have been added to the miniature design to finish it off and provide finer details.

It is finished with a hook on the reverse and will hang in a landscape position.

When I visit the coast to collect materials for my artwork, I am often inspired by the cute little rustic cottages and I love making these from the wood, sea glass and shells that I find on my travels. It is a very bright and beautiful design and demonstrates a new, sustainable direction that I want to take with my work.
