I’ve always had a fascination with the natural world. Our connection with it runs much deeper than we can ever begin to comprehend, and sometimes we can forget that, especially if we live in a city. I’ve always been drawn to places where I could be surrounded by nature, mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, fields and all the wildlife that inhabit those places. Being in those surroundings gave me an inner peace that I could rarely find from anywhere else. People often say that they go travelling to find themselves, but I found it to be the opposite when done for too long. After many years of travelling, I returned to Glasgow, back to the city. I’ve found that handcrafting things out of wood gives me some of that inner peace, so I set up a workshop at home and started making rings.
Why wooden rings? Its a rare, special token of friendship, love, connection and beauty. It reaffirms with nature and keeps on reminding us that we’re part of it
