A group of botanical art cards featuring a spray of magnolias in bud, blooming and starting to fade. Painted from magnolias flowering in Kew Gardens. Along with a study of Iris 'Benton Caramel' grown by the Artist Cedrick Morris and now part of a heritage collection.

Cards are 15cms square, printed on luxury textured card with recycled Kraft envelopes all tied together a a gift pack with a grosgrain ribbon.

Walking in Kew Gardens when the magnolias were in bloom, and following a shower of rain I was inspired to paint the deep pink fading to the palest shell pink of the magnolias, complete with rain drops.
The iris, seen at the Chelsea flower show, shown by specialist heritage growers, and then grown in my garden is just a work of art in itself with such beautiful colours as it unfurls from papery bud to full bloom.
