These miniature Bud Vases are designed as if a three dimensional, free standing painting.
Inspired by a stretch of local landscape, that is easily accessed, I have used a palette of Autumnal colored glazes to evoke the feeling of a walk along the Scottish Coastline in the latter and early part of the year.
Each one thrown with the same weight of clay, but each one unique, the shapes based on a collection of old ceramic ink bottles that I have.
Just the right size to fit on a mantle piece or brighten a small space and fill with a few flowers, leaves or seed heads from the garden or found outside dependent on the season, but equally attractive when empty.
Each one stamped with my makers mork on the bottom edge.
