An unusual and quirky pair of sterling silver earrings.

I wanted to create a contrast of textures and light and dark space, so have used the random pattern of wire strands both on top of a darkened silver disc, as well as inside a hoop creating an almost web-like effect. Each piece will be completely unique, formed as the silver melts together just enough to retain the individuals strands. As such, please expect variance from those in the photo.

This piece is made to order. You will receive a piece close to that shown in the photo, though due to the method of production your piece will have it's own unique pattern, making it truly one of a kind.

Approximately 32mm (just over 1 1/4 inch) long.

Welcome to my little corner of Folksy!

Each of my creations is handmade in my home studio in Riddlesden, Yorkshire. Overlooking the famed hills of Bronte Country, my desk is a mix of tools, gemstones, fabrics, pins (lots of pins!) and cotton bobbins - a crafters dream. Oh, and a good ol' cuppa of Yorkshire Tea, naturally.

DOODLE collection
Inspired by my children's early experiments with computer art, I remembered how I would spend hours in my youth doodling lines before colouring each section to make beautiful patterns. I wondered if I could recreate this style of abstract art in jewellery form. Using off-cuts of silver wire to reduce waste, I create random patterns with the wire before heating to melting point so the pieces merge. The beauty of each piece lies in that you never know what the wire will do, so every piece will be absolutely unique.
