This journal has been bound without the use of any adhesive in a medieval technique where there is an inner binding that keeps the textblock together and in sequence even if the cover should ever fail.
The cover has been made by weaving two soft leather pieces together; one is a moss coloured velours, the other a coffee brown goat nappa, and together they form a tough cover that is yet soft to the touch.

While the general technique is traditional, the specific make-up has been adapted to this unique journal and is unique to this weaving technique.

The pages are made up from my go-to sketching paper: slightly cream coloured, perfect with dry media, and suitable also for all kinds of pens and markers.
The format fairly small (smaller than A6) which makes it easy to fit in any bag and carry around. The binding technique allows the book to open completely flat, and you can use a double spread to use as a surface that has a convenient size to write on.

Number of pages: 384 (counting both sides of each sheet)

This journal was made as response to a bookbinding challenge with the topic "weave", for which I developed this particular technique/binding as a derivative from the traditional medieval technique.
The small format of the book makes it a perfect travel companion.
