'Wulf' is a very special piece of artwork to me and was the first that I started working on when I returned to art.
The inspiration for 'Wulf' came following a reflection on the native species that have been lost from the shores of Great Britain. 'Wulf' is the first in a series of four to depict species that have now become extinct or are almost extinct on our shores. The series will depict spirit animals in British woodland and will be called 'The Forgotten Guardians'. All pieces will be named in Olde English as with 'Wulf'. The other planned pieces are: 'Bera' - the bear, 'Bar' - the boar and 'Lox' - the lynx.
