This is a hand-sewn A5 accordion journal with hard covers covered with a road map; the central area shown on the front is Swindon and its surrounding area. It comprises six individual sections, each containing 12 pages (24 sides) of 140 gsm multi-media cartridge paper. The paper is eco-friendly and acid-free and has been made using recycled disposable cup technology in the UK.

I have a passion for reusing items and giving them a new life. The road atlas I used was destined to go to the dump as we no longer used it, and it was out of date. I gave it some thought and decided to use it to create the front and back covers of the journal, I was now on a mission to create a different style of journal, and I am pleased with what I have made; there are more waiting to be finished each of which is in another area of the country.
