This handmade clock is designed to be enjoyed, like a painting, as part of your wall decor or to be given as a special gift to a loved one, and is the last remaining clock from a series that I created in 2000 & 2001.

The outer ‘Chapter Ring’ is made from a square frame of 4 mitred boards of ripple sycamore (which are stable compared to a single board of wood that will cup or bow) and shaped into a circular ring with 48 minute & 12 longer hour markers cut into the inner perimeter of the ring with a fine saw. The 48 minute lines are filled with blue veneer slips and the 12 hour lines with red slips and with 12 blue dots above.

The Chapter Ring is profiled on the inner perimeter with a ‘cove’ mould so the minute & hour markers dance over a 3D shape, and with a ‘torus’ mould on the outer perimeter.

The Dial is made with quality birch plywood for stability & veneered with book-matched quilted maple veneer to create a stunning effect.

Elegant Pointer Hands from Germany are sprayed blue to contrast with the quilted maple dial.

Supplied in a white linen texture box.

For the time involved in the design & making of this unique clock, it should cost over £400, though I am letting it go for £250 due to a couple of slight gaps in two of the mitre joins on the Chapter Ring which are barely visible when the clock is hanging in place. A rare opportunity to acquire a Wonderfull Wall Clock.
