Drypoint print of the Alstroemeria flower with handmade Chine-Colle detail. Developed from my own pen and ink illustration.
Decal edge print, float mounted in a 27cm x 27cm white box frame.

I often draw illustrations of the flowers I find on walks, in my garden, or those that are given to me as gifts. This particular bunch of flowers was bought for my by my lovely mum and I felt compelled to draw them. I think the Alsotroemeria flower is often overlooked as it is common place in the bunches of flowers we tend to find at the supermarket, but when inspected more closely they really are quite beautiful.
I developed my illustration into a drypoint print, and then made my own Chine-Colle from a colour palette I created on PhotoShop from a photgraph of the Alstroemeria flower.
