Relax Lily depicts a vibrant pink water lily with adjoining lily pad against a background of deep, exotic green teal pond and barely visible lettering of 'relax' almost ghostly in the upper part of the piece. The detail of the water droplets upon the petals and reflections within the pond whisk us away somewhere else to contemplate the present moment in stillness and beauty.
This piece is available in A6 and A5 as a 290gsm Silk Pearl Premium print, and A4 and A3 as a 300gsm Silk Gloss laminate print which really makes the deep colours pop.

I wanted to create a piece which explored the notion of calm energy and deep, soothing colours. The lily set upon the deep green lily pond is inspired by sitting watching the water which is something so many people like to do, including myself. This promotes a sense of peace and calms the mind, we're drawn in by the movement of the water and the variety of colour and depth. The introduction of the word 'relax' is supposed to be like a mantra, reminding us to be in the present moment, something that we may say to ourselves when times get frenetic, and in combination with the drawn image encourages to sit still, even just for a moment, and be in the here and now.
