Hand carved from local sycamore in Cornwall using traditional tools, this Garden Seed Planter (Wand) is an original design and features an unusual ocean tumbled sea glass pebble embedded in the heart-shaped top. A leather cord with painted bead makes it easy to keep the planter to hand. 'Perfect for a spell in the garden'

An original gift for the gardener in your life, the Garden Seed Planters are a perfect tool when planting seeds and are available in a variety of sizes and hardwoods, each with a unique sea glass pebble insert. The dibber is finished with a protective coat of natural pure tung oil and light application of Japanese wax.

Made with an artist's eye and a craftsman's touch, my pieces are solid and elegant. They are meant to last and be loved.

Length: 15cm (6 inches)

Tung oil is obtained by pressing the seed from the nut of the tung tree (Vernicia fordii). It gives a non-toxic finish that is ideal for surfaces that are expected to come into contact with food.

Japanese wax is certified by the Boken quality evaluation institute of Japan to be free from voc's and heavy metals. It is safe to use on food contact items and children's toys. Bacteria growth is inhibited by wood food ingredients such as lauric acid, peppermint oil, and blood orange oil. Japanese cypress oil (hinoki) has an especially strong antibacterial effect.
