Item details

Circular Copper pendant with silver wire fused across at an angle from bottom right to top left, as the silver has melted to fuse to the copper it has created a plume effect along it's sides. The silver wire extends just a little beyone the edge of the copper disc.
Once the piece has been cleaned and polished it is slightly domed and then reheated a little to give a slight patina to the copper. Finished with a fine layer of microcrystalline wax to preserve the patina.
The pendant measures 29 cm across and is hung by a copper jump ring from a deep red, cotton cord. The cord is adjustable for length so the pendant can be worn at any length you choose.
Suitable for anyone this simple but attractive pendant makes a great gift.

I made this piece with the intention of adding enamel to it, I wasn't allowed to do it at my usual place and decided that I actually like it without enamel. The melted silver looks to me like trees reflected in a river but it would have to be trees on a hill because of the angle. Never mind, jet stream is a good name, looks like a plume of steam from something shooting throught the sky too.
