Item details

Lovely, tactile, vegetable tanned leather bookmarks slim enough that they will not strain a binding, with a unique, embossed design, either a leaf or a celtic knot. Handmade and cut with an incised line around the body, bevelled edges and my (discreet) ivy leaf logo on the base, individually dyed and finished with an acid free, satin finish resolene. Three main designs, the cut out leaf (either green leaf or self coloured), an inset leaf within the 'body' 210- 220mm x 44 - 48mm or a celtic knot on a domed top, 215 x 38 - 42mm. Can be embellished with one or two initials or a date in d/m/yyyy formatt burnt on by hand.
The Grey celtic knot variety are coloured with an organic dye that tends to do its own thing and will vary in shade and texture, they may seem striped or mottled - beyond my control, that's what makes them so nIce! Colours/shades vary for all of them, please let me know if you have a prefferance and I'll do my best; few are an entirely flat colour as I am not using aggressive dyes.
Well presented, individually wrapped in kraft paper with a wax seal - perfect for gifting.

I only started making these to use up scraps (because I hate waste), I did not think many people would be prepared to pay enough to cover the time they take to make. I was so wrong! They are now my most popular item - and I still like making them.
