This is a simple but satisfying knitting project where you'll create a cosy baby blanket. It's perfect if you're looking for a unique new baby gift with a personal touch.

The pattern uses basic knit and purl stitches to create the design and because it’s made with chunky yarn you’ll find it knits up in no time.

The main section is made using stocking stitch, with reverse stocking stitch used to spell out the words DREAM BIG.

There’s a garter stitch border but you’ll create this as you go, so no need for picking up stitches.

Charted and written instructions included and you'll need 6mm circular needles.

I used Hayfield Bonus Chunky yarn for the pattern sample but you can easily substitute for another chunky yarn. You'll need approximately 3 x 100g balls but check the yardage on the pattern.
