This lovely dish is turned from a solid piece of oak and finished with a fine sand and food safe wax. The grain on this item is lovely, highlighting the lightness of the wood yet demonstrating a sophisticated subtle beauty.
Measuring 7 inches in diameter and an inch tall this piece would fit well on a dressing table or as a shelf piece.

This is from an old piece of oak I gathered from windfall. The question was what to do with it. On closer inspection the grain running through was beautiful and the only way to show the grain would be to make a dish. Once sanded and polished the final piece is completed
