I love the ethereal quality of feathers, and their symbolic beauty.
These loosely painted watercolour feathers evoke a sense of magic, mystery and allure. What sort of bird has feathers in these delicate, mindful colours?
These were painted some time ago as individual feathers and sat in my workspace as I wasn't sure what to do with them.
Then just before Christmas I put these postcard sized pieces of artwork together.
I love the way the simple bit of machine sewing gives them an added dimension.
I enjoy creating collections, such as these 5, that become individual pieces of artwork.
