This console table is designed to sit effortlessly in to any hallway. With a depth of only 220mm, the table is as thin as possible to take up minimal space. Made from beautiful sycamore with a variety of ripples and patterns throughout, there is always something new to see in the wood.

To match the rippled wood, the table has a central water ripple cut out which provides both a beautiful design and a convenient location for putting keys, wallets etc. when you walk through the door.

The curved legs and rails act as a great balance to the almost stone like shape of the top, which are held together using traditional wooden buttons.

Four bracing supports provide structure and break up the extra long legs. Brown oak inlays provide a small amount of contrasting colour around the supports.

Every time I walk through the door, I throw my keys and wallet on the kitchen table. My partner then moves my keys and wallet and when I go to put them away, I have no idea where they have gone.
I starting thinking about having a temporary location to just dump some bits that wouldn't look out of place and wouldn't get in the way.
A hallway table was the best place for this but my hallway is very narrow and therefore I wanted to see how thin I could make the table without it falling over or having splayed legs.
I love how the design ended up and I really hope others do too.
