A beautiful lavender bag and love token in one, made from French antique (late 19th Century) fabric.

This lovely heart has been made using a late 19th Century French antique brocade / damask fabric featuring sprays of flowers in soft red and pink on an antique yellow-gold background.

The outline of the heart has been edged using a modern ‘Daffodil’ yellow and gold scroll gimp (from the London-based ‘Hip Haberdasher’ VV Rouleaux).

The central bow and hanging loop has been made from dark red single-sided velvet ribbon and is finished with a genuine vintage gold and cream button.

The heart has been filled with a mixture of soft stuffing and lots of dried Lavender to provide a plump and fragrant lavender bag with which to scent your room.

The heart measures approximately 21 cm x 15 cm (at its longest and widest points).

I only had the smallest fragment of this antique French damask (obviously from a wonderful pair of curtains which adorned a chateau in the past) - just enough to make this lovely, fragrant heart for that special person in your life.
