I'm always so inspired by the leaf shapes in my garden.
This leaf shape began as a quick study of mange tout shoots!
This piece was part of a collection of abstract leafy collages (see my other listings). I find it difficult to throw away small pieces of 'collage fodder' so save them to use in other projects, such as this! I thought the border pieces were lovely in their own right and deserved to be used rather than discarded.
The final touch is the sewn border, done on my sewing machine.
