My art practice is also a meditative, mindful practice, and sometimes this reflects in the subjects I paint. This was definitely the case for this mandala painting. Originally painted as individual squares called Inchies, or Twichies (2" square) and then pieced together on the prepared paper collage background. This piece features all my favourite colours of blues, greens, purples with a touch of brown to complement.
For the detail of the mandala corners I used watercolour pens and lightly touched up with water.
I like the use of glimpses of artwork pieced together in squares.
