I love this cheerful, quirky design which makes me smile every time I see it, with the baby hanging on to the Christmas Tree Star and cheeky Daddy Reindeer throwing a snowball at Mummy.

This is an Appliqué Pattern with instructions (Materials not included).

It is a nice project for beginners introducing appliqué, quilting and binding. The project can be done on the Sewing machine or by hand.

Finished piece measures approximately L 14" x W 11"

I wanted a cheerful wall hanging for my home which was not the traditional colours, but something which would make people smile as they pass.

I played about with several pieces of cut paper to make the pattern and arrange the layout before settling on a final design. I then appliquéd it on to the a split fabric background, raw edge stitched and quilted to add texture and did traditional quilt binding to finish adding a sleeve at the back of the work to slot a piece of dowelling through to hang, but a D ring could be added to hang.
