This 18inch Sterling silver rope chain shows off a 2 inch cascade style pendant made up of 6 pieces of white and pale blue seaglass joined with twisted Sterling silver rings, catching the light. The seaglass pieces are smaller working down the cascade.
The seaglass has been collected from the beach at Withernsea, East Yorkshire. Seaglass is formed when glass enters the sea, either intentionally or by accident. The edges of the glass are smoothed and the clarity of the glass hazed by the action of the sea, sand and stones on it as it is rolled along the seabed by the action of the waves. The time it has spent in the sea and the original make up of the glass also effect the end result, which is when the piece is thrown up onto the beach and picked up by a beachcomber.
This will be sent out using 1st class large letter post.
Cascades of glass make lovely pendants. I have used twisted Sterling silver rings to join the pieces together adding sparkle to the cascade. These rings are new to the supplier I prefer to use, so I hope you like the addition of these to the overall effect.
