A warm welcome to my shop on Folksy, I am a fulltime artist based in Leicestershire I paint mainly in soft pastels on pastel matt board, but also watercolours, and mixed media. I also love to create original art cards, bespoke gifts, jewellery.
I love Poppies they are so majestic, and beautiful.
The stunning dots of Red that scatter a corn field.
I went outside, and sat in a local field in Market Bosworth in Leicestershire, and did a quick sketch then went back to my studio.
I decided to do this mixed media piece on a large ready to hang canvas.
It was vital to capture the energy of the field, and this art was made quickly, with lots of different materials to add texture, and movement.
This artwork would be signed on the back, and dated.
It has been painted on canvas board with Windsor & newton Paints, and inks.
Gold metallic inks have been added as accents onto of the painting.
It comes unmounted, and unframed for your own choices.
