Higger Tor is a large outcrop of gritstone on the eastern moors of the Dark Peak, in the north of the Peak District National Park. Standing just within the boundary of Sheffield and overlooking the Burbage Valley to the East and the vast expanse of the Hope Valley to the West, it is a popular spot for walking, climbing and contemplating. A quick escape from the confines of city living, its wilderness allows reconnection with the natural landscape, and so is a very special place for locals and visitors alike.
