I wanted to create a large bright painting representing the move from Spring, Summer to Autumn using as much blue as possible! I have a thing about painting in blue at the moment as I find it soothing and so versatile - the amount of variations in mixes are endless! It was a joy to paint sunflowers in this colour too, as I feel they would look good in any colour! Having a watery background adds to a calming sense of wellbeing that can last all year long.
