Both onyx and tiger's-eye are semi-precious birthstones for August and Leo.
The colours of the Swarovski crystals represent aspects of Leo, light green for the traditional birthstone peridot, yellow for the ruling planet, the sun, and orange for the element of fire.
1/2/22 marks the start of the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Tiger.
Other "tigers" are 1902, 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010.
