Not everyone finds Snails pleasant, they can often be destructive to plants in the garden, but to the Ancient Greeks, snails let them know when the crops were ready to Harvest, the Ancient Aztecs regarded them as sacred, thinking their spiral shell represented the cycle of life.
This snail dish holds a single incense stick, catching the ash in the base, but can also be a holder for a silk or dried flower, a place for a favourite ring, or a stand alone piece of miniature art.
Snails can also be seen as symbolic of enjoying life at a slower pace, appreciating the path you are on, not just focused on the destination.
