I walked from my home in Highbury the 4 miles to Piccadilly Circus in the late Spring of 2021, to see it just before emerging from the virus - people still in masks but beginning to meet there again. We usually think of the 'bright lights' aspect of Piccadilly Circus, but even they were muted that day and I preferred the sweep of the beautiful white stucco contrasting with our ubiquitous red buses!
