Olive and black porcelain earrings with delicate telegraph design. Each pair of earring tiles are uniquely hand-painted, glazed and fired, and then finally made into earrings using sterling silver backings.
Each pair comes packaged in a lovely earring box.

Welcome to my Shop! Every piece here is unique, one of one.

I work with porcelain and stoneware from my small studio in London. My work is hand-built, then painted with slips and underglazes using brush strokes and splatters which are not entirely abstract. Most pieces are glazed in a transparent gloss which draws out the colours and contrast.
At present I am learning to 'raw glaze' so each piece only goes through firing once, rather than twice, thus reducing the carbon footprint! Ask me if you'd like to see this raw glazed work.

In making this 'cut tile' jewellery, I explore the possibilities using simple brushstrokes to echo the style I use on my larger functional ceramic work, but with a nod to fashion and fabric print. The set was fun to design and I hope others will enjoy the somewhat irregular shapes and freedom of the brush strokes.
