Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am an artist based in the West Midlands, UK, focusing mostly on small format original linocut prints and acrylic paintings.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.
Please be aware that there may still be delays in the postal system due to the virus. Overseas customers can check with the Royal Mail's website to see the status of deliveries overseas from the UK here:- https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5317/~/international-incident-bulletin
Thank you so much for your interest in my art.
This hand pressed linocut print shows the historic Wicken Fen Windpump which stands amid the glorious Cambridgeshire fenland and is looked after by the National Trust.
It is a reduction linocut print which I hand pressed at home using the back of a spoon. I created this print in 10 pressings.
This is the 2nd in an edition of 11 prints. Other than these 11 prints there will be no more original prints made from this plate as it was destroyed during the reduction printing process.
This artwork is printed in Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Linoprint Ink (Water Based) on Daler-Rowney Heavyweight Drawing Paper (220gsm).
The print measures approx 4 x 6 inches and the paper size is approx. A5 (portrait orientation).
The print will come unframed and unmounted.
I will mail it out to you in a cellophane packet with a small signed Certificate of Authenticity.
I will post it out to you in a board backed envelope and I will send it 1st class Royal Mail Standard Delivery or Standard International Delivery if sending overseas.
Thank you for looking at my artwork.
If you have any questions please ask me.
A glorious sight, extremely rare now but once an unremarkable part of the landscape. The Wicken Fen Windpump is a fragile link between the present and the past.
