I love melting metal! Simple as that really!
There is a process called reticulation which heats the metal to a point where the fine silver on the surface begins to move and form texture on the metal. It is like alchemy for me because before your very eyes you see the metal begin to form its own personality, texture and shape.
I wanted to give something based on nature a natural texture and so this was the perfect solution.
