Beavers sadly were made extinct in Britain 400 years ago. But thankfully there is now a movement to reintroduce these amazing animals back into our wetlands. Known as the eco-engineers of the wilderness Beavers are incredibly important at ensuring that the flow and distribution of water is carefully managed and do so much good in our wild spaces.
I created the original piece using beautiful Polychromos pencils onto crisp, white cartridge paper. The Limited Edition A4 print is a professional scan of this original and is printed at Giclee standard onto high quality Arcoprint FSC, acid free paper.
I carefully package (using recycled or eco friendly materials wherever possible), post tracked and insured using Royal Mail and follow up to ensure you have received them in pristine order.
Our local Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is reintroducing two pairs of Beavers to our local Wetlands in the Autumn of 2021. I am beyond myself with excitement! As an avid supporter for the Trust's work I have been fund raising for the Beavers for some time, as well as for many of their other campaigns. I am so excited to have been given permission to photograph these Beavers once they have settled, for use for further artwork, that I will give free access to the trust. I love their steely determination and super groundedness and love to watch them busily at work, creating their Lodges and eating plenty along the way too!
